Personal Care Assistant ("PCA")

As a PCA, you will help individuals maintain their independence and dignity by providing personalized, non-medical home care. This role is ideal for caring, patient, and dedicated professionals who enjoy working one-on-one with clients in the comfort of their homes.

Basic Responsibilities

• Ensure client comfort and safety by meeting medical, nutritional, and personal care needs.

• Assist with daily living activities such as hygiene, dressing, grooming, and feeding per service plans.

• Maintain accurate records, documents observations, and report changes to the Care Coordinator or Case Manager.

• Support with light housekeeping tasks, laundry, and meal preparation.

• Respond promptly to client needs and follow emergency procedures as required.

• Encourage independence while ensuring safety at all times.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalency.

• Prior experience as a caregiver preferred.

• Compassionate, dependable, and respectful attitude toward clients and families.

• Ability to follow agency policies and care plans.

• Access to reliable transportation to visit clients and provide services in Northern Virginia.

• Must pass background check, meet state requirements, and complete TB evaluation.
